New appointment: Head of Security
Covaler appointed Acceleon co-founder Patrick Blume as a Head of Security for all Covaler brands and products.
Charged with leading the security strategy, driving a security culture, and assisting in designing and maintaining secure systems and products, the Head of Security role is critical to our business moving forward.
The program of work has a wide scope, including the implementation of ISO-27001 certification, additional tooling to improve our vulnerability awareness and actively monitor our security posture in real-time, whilst ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and education around security.
Working closely with the executive team, this role will audit and advise on security risks whilst staying across industry best practices, working with product and engineering teams to design our products and projects with security in mind.
Additionally, Patrick’s experiences that will benefit Covaler moving forward include:
>Extensive experience in information security and IT risk management with a focus on security, performance and reliability.
>Deep understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation and security.
>Insights into the current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions.
>Customer-focused mindset, enabling security solutions that are fit for purpose.
